      should. My guess is that the knob controls a range from -64 to 63 or something
      like that. Unfortunately the F. Cutoff can range from 0 to 127. This means
      that if the frequency is set to 127 in the patch, the most the knob can do it
      lower it to 63. Try lowering the default f. cutoff in patch and see if the knob
      has more of the range you're looking for. Another way to check if this is happening
      is if you increase the cutoff knob and there is no effect.
